Whether you are thinking about joining a direct sales company, it is important to choose a mentor who will support you in your journey and understand what your goals are. A mentor is your key to a positive experience and personal success with any direct sales company. I’ve taken the time to write down 3 key questions you should ask yourself in your quest to choose a mentor.
Are they accessible?
One key component as you join a direct sales company is to surround yourself with those who are active, willing, and able to answer any questions you have. When you first sign up you’ll find yourself wondering, where do I begin? How do I start? A great mentor will be right there with you showing you the basics and the foundation you need to reach your goals.
Do we get along?
Just like anything, life is easier when people get along. Does your conversation with your potential mentor flow? Are they receptive and understanding of your reservations, questions, and concerns? Listen to yourself and you’ll know whether someone is the right mentor for you.
Will he/she support my goals?
This is an important factor. You may be looking to direct sales as a hobby, or you may be interested in jumping into doing direct sales full time. Your mentor should support you in any capacity and help you to find the tools you need to succeed.
Choosing a mentor in your direct sales journey is an important one. You’ll want to have support and someone who understands the ins and outs of the company as well as the world of direct sales in general. I have enjoyed my own journey with my direct sales company and am looking forward to growing by helping other Independent Designers reach their personal and financial goals.
