The key to Instagram is to not flood your feed with promotional pictures day after day. Nobody likes spam! (except for Monty Python of course!) Your followers will tire quickly and it may result in people unfollowing you. Follow the general 80/20 rule. 80% of your posts should be nonpromotional, 20% promotional. You are giving your followers a chance to get to know you and not just the product you are selling.
The topics for each day of an Instagram Challenge will give you the inspiration you need to create an original graphic or photograph. For example, if the topic of the day is, “In My Bag”, you can make it personal and post a picture of your goldfish and cheerio crumbed purse. Anyone with kids can relate to that! Or, post a picture of your bag with a strategically placed product of yours. Make it subtle, make it relatable!
