Who’s on Instagram? Do you love it? Hate it? Not sure how to connect with others and grow a following? Instagram is my favorite visual platform to post to and I have an audience of over 2,000 followers! Not bad, but it could always be better right? That is why I use direct sales Instagram challenges each month to grow my following, engage with more customers, and increase my sales. Here’s how a direct sales Instagram challenge can help your direct sales business!
An Instagram challenge is listed by month with a topic suggestion for each day Posting daily on Instagram creates consistency and your followers will get used to seeing your posts and come to expect them.
The key to Instagram is to not flood your feed with promotional pictures day after day. Nobody likes spam! (except for Monty Python of course!) Your followers will tire quickly and it may result in people unfollowing you. Follow the general 80/20 rule. 80% of your posts should be nonpromotional, 20% promotional. You are giving your followers a chance to get to know you and not just the product you are selling.
The topics for each day of an Instagram Challenge will give you the inspiration you need to create an original graphic or photograph. For example, if the topic of the day is, “In My Bag”, you can make it personal and post a picture of your goldfish and cheerio crumbed purse. Anyone with kids can relate to that! Or, post a picture of your bag with a strategically placed product of yours. Make it subtle, make it relatable!
Planning out your Instagram posts for a few days, or even a few weeks at a time will help with your consistency in posting. It will also free you up to work on the other money making tasks for your direct sales business! No more wondering, “what will I post on Instagram today?”
I also love to use Instagram scheduling tools to help keep consistent. Planoly is my favorite app to use and you’ll find it will keep you accountable.
Utilizing an Instagram Challenge will result in more followers, an increase in engagement, and genuine relationships with others from all over the country. Altogether, these 5 tips will lead to growth in your direct sales business.
Now you know all the reasons why you need an Instagram Challenge for your direct sales business, you may be wondering, “where do I find these challenges?” Look no further! I have created a direct sales Instagram Challenge for you to use!!
