Graphics For Your Direct Sales Business: How To Use Canva in 5 Simple Steps

Creating Direct Sales Graphics in Canva

Have you ever wondered how direct sales consultants reach new customers on social media?

Aside from blogging for your direct sales business, another way to set yourself apart is to create eye-catching, aesthetically pleasing direct sales graphics in Canva.

Canva is a really easy to use website and in a few steps, you will be posting original graphics for your social media channels.

If you have wondered how to make awesome graphics in Canva, read on for 5 easy steps!

Learn how to use Canva for your direct sales business

Step 1

Visit Canva and set up an account. It’s FREE!

Step 2

Choose your dimensions.

You’ll see at the top Canva simplifies this process by telling you exactly what dimensions you need for each social media channel.

My go-to ones are the Facebook Post, Instagram Post, or Pinterest Graphic.

You also have the option to choose custom dimensions.

If you do choose to upgrade and use Canva for Work, they have a handy tool call Magic Resize.

Any graphic you create wil instantly be resized to any dimension you choose (and back again). The monthly subscription with Canva is worth it for this feature alone.

Step 3

I don’t know about you, but when I see a blank white space, I freeze!

I am not a graphic designer so here is where my favorite part of Canva comes in. Take a look at the left-hand side, see the Canva Layouts?

They have literally hundreds of free templates that you can choose to work with.

See a design you like with a $ sign on it? Most templates are not more than $1.

Or check out my list of free graphics websites to visit for free stock photos.

Play around and get inspired.

Canva also has a template section of their site where you can search for graphics by category.

Step 4

Make the magic happen!

Add some text, upload a photo, play around a little bit.

Canva is really user-friendly and the tools to adjust transparency, size, and color are very clear and easy to understand.

If you need some inspiration, take a peek at this list of 101 engagement posts for your direct sales groups. Pick one and create a new graphic to share with your community.

Step 5

Once you have a graphic you love, click “download” and save it where you want to.

The beauty of Canva is, whatever graphic you save, you can always go back to it and edit if you would like.

Keep the layout the same, change the content, and your social media graphics will begin to come together. It’s all about branding yourself.

Canva Bonus Feature!

One feature of Canva that is underutilized by direct sellers is the sharing feature.

Use this to share templates with teammates, hostesses, or anyone you think can benefit from your graphics.

The free version of Canva allows you to invite up to 10 team members for free. Create cohesive team templates that everyone can use.

Don’t be intimidated by creating your own original graphics, just jump in and get started. Start creating:

  • Facebook Party Graphics
  • Instagram Graphics
  • Infographics
  • Printable’s
  • Team Handouts
  • Vendor Event Price Lists
  • and more!

With these 5 steps, you’ll be creating your own direct sales graphics in Canva in no time.
