As a direct seller, you have so many groups, team pages, and information out there telling you exactly what you should be doing to promote your product, promote yourself, and be successful in direct sales. But, what about a list of what not to do as a direct seller?
It’s not a very nice topic in itself but, sometimes, the direct sales industry leaves a bad taste people’s mouths and it stands true to recognize WHY this happens. I am sure you have run across some of these instances in your own direct sales experience. Let’s take a look at 5 things that all direct sellers should avoid doing.
Mass Adding People to your Facebook Groups and Encouraging Others to do the Same
Facebook Private Messanger is your friend. Use it to invite instead of add. Not only does this help you not to be spammy, it keeps you out of dreaded Facebook Jail.
Only Sharing Your Direct Sales Company and/or Product
People want to get to know the person behind the product. Share your personality often and sprinkle in hints of your company and product!
Bashing Other Direct Sales Companies / Consultants
Just don’t. It looks really bad and karma is real. Read THIS to also learn how to deal with direct sales competition
Promise the Idea of “Easy” or “Quick” Money
It may seem easy and quick to make money in direct sales, but, we all know it is hard work!
