Hostess Coaching Packet for your Direct Sales Business
A few years ago, I was approached to be a hostess of an Origami Owl online Facebook party. I had seen the jewelry a few times and have heard about Facebook parties, but I had not been to one and it would be my very first time being a hostess. I had no clue what to expect!
I’m sure many hostesses out there feel the same way, and I found a mailed hostess coaching packet to be extremely helpful and an integral part of having a successful Facebook party.
Before you gather up your favorite items for your hostess, I encourage you to look back at your last 3 successful Facebook parties. Really take a look at WHY they were so successful. Did the hostess do something special or unique? Did they send personal invites and not just mass invite their entire Facebook friend list? (A surefire way to be put in FB Jail)
Make a list of a few key points and be sure to include them in a message to your hostess. She will appreciate the insight and hopefully follow your tips so her party can be a successful one!
Okay, who doesn’t love to get some awesome Happy Mail? Covered in Washi Tape, that is even better! Let’s check out the 3 must-have items that go inside a hostess coaching packet.
Catalog or Informational Booklet
Many companies have catalogs that otherwise get unused. Put these babies to work! Stick a label with your contact information on a catalog and encourage your hostess to show the catalog to friends, family, and co-workers ahead of the party. This will get her familiar with the products and there is a chance she will begin to get orders in ahead of the party.
The best type of Facebook party is a hostess who has already qualified for rewards BEFORE the party even starts!
Qualifying Party Breakdown & Wish List
Most companies provide free Hostess information in their back office. Be sure to check and see what your company provides and print out all flyers that help your hostess understand what sales are required to unlock the hostess rewards. No one likes to have a Facebook party and realize at the end they didn’t earn a thing for their time. (Consultants included)
Create a little “Wish List” sheet for your hostess to fill out and have her send it to you prior to the party. Go over it with her and share what sales need to be made at the party in order to reach her goal of earning everything on her wish list. This is a great incentive to get your hostess engaged and involved in the party.
Fun Extras
To go along with all the hostess coaching information, be sure to include a fun little extra! It doesn’t have to be much, maybe samples, a little notepad, pen, or even just some non-meltable candy. Whatever it is, it is always nice to go above and beyond and make your hostess feel special!
Want to add an extra layer of awesomeness? Package it all up in some fun mailer bags. Check out these, these
