Increase Direct Sales Facebook Group Engagement
Are you constantly wondering just how to get your posts seen by your community of followers in your direct sales Facebook group? Confused when you see one of your posts gain tons of likes and comments and another post is hearing crickets?
There are tons of ideas out there on how to “trick” Facebook into showing your posts to as many of your followers as possible. Unfortunately, Facebook is SUPER smart and is always way ahead of us when it comes to algorithms and rewarding authentic content. So, what things can you do to increase engagement in your direct sales Facebook groups?
Be Original & Authentic
This one is HUGE. We are all in many Facebook groups with our fellow consultants and many times, graphics and scripts are posted for you to use. This may seem okay to do in the short term, but it’s not your voice and your community will pick up on that.
Another point, Facebook has a highly sophisticated system of identifying spam. Graphics are highly susceptible to this and can even land you in dreaded Facebook Jail.
Key Takeaway #1: Make your own graphics, converse with your Facebook group in your own authentic voice, and your community will thrive.
Know Your Audience
Have you ever been in a Facebook group and think, hmm, I haven’t seen a post from her in awhile and you go looking. Turns out, posts go out at 8:00 at night on the West Coast and you’re on the East Coast already comfy in your bed dreaming of your next Epic Facebook Party?
Do a little research on your own Facebook group. What days and times do you get the best engagement? Is it Sunday evenings? Early morning before everyone goes to work? Take notes over the course of a couple weeks and tweak when you schedule your posts.
Also, do you find your posts fall flat when you purposely share a popular engagement post?
It could be your community is seeing the same thing over multiple groups and is scrolling on by. Find common themes and topics that bring out the lurkers and get people talking. Expand on these ideas and be creative!

Key Takeaway #2: Know what posts excite your community and what days and times are best.
Engage Genuinely & Provide Value
I talk A LOT about adding value on top of the product that you sell. There are literally hundreds, possibly thousands of Facebook groups out there doing the same thing you are doing. Your challenge is to find the currency that keeps your community coming back to YOUR group and actively engaging with you and your members.
Not sure HOW to do this or what added value to provide? It is sometimes easier to break things down and take a look at Facebook group posts week by week.
Read how to do this by clicking HERE.
Each week builds on itself and at month end (we all know how eager we are to hit those goals!) cap it off with an Epic Facebook Party.
As your posts are gaining interest and people are commenting, reply to those who have taken time out of their day to engage with you. It makes a huge difference! It lets your community know you are watching, you are interested, and you genuinely care about each member of your Facebook group.
Key Takeaway #3: Create a community that is larger than your product and your company.
Following these three lessons will result in building a community based on authentic engagement, added value, and organic growth. You will find your direct sales Facebook group will become a place where your community comes each day to check in and see what’s going on.
