They key to getting your first teammate may simply be as easy as sharing your business opportunity and making a point to show how your company may benefit that person.
Whether it be the discount in the product, the flexible aspect of a direct sales job, or the relationships with awesome women and men that make up your team and direct sales company.
One aspect of sponsoring many in the direct sales industry do not talk about is patience.
Sometimes it can take up to 12+ “touches” with someone before they decide to take that leap and sign up.
I should know! It took me years to decide to jump in with Origami Owl and I now wish I had not waited as long. But, the lesson is, be there to answer questions without pressure and be patient.
How to Manage Your Direct Sales Team
Growing a team and making sure everyone is on the same page is a job in and of itself, especially in this day and age when team members may be spread out across the county.
Having a closed Facebook Group set up just for your team is perfect.
Think of how you engage your own direct sales VIP group and use the same approach to your team Facebook Group.
Be engaging, helpful, and add value to your team by teaching them what they need to know to be successful.
Another tip is to schedule a monthly or quarterly Zoom call.
Zoom is a video conferencing website that is free! Connecting with your team over a video chat helps to further your relationship and it’s an opportunity to bounce ideas off of each other about what works and what doesn’t when it comes to your direct sales company.
How to Motivate Your Direct Sales Team
Do you enjoy participating in team challenges to try and blast through a set monthly sales goal?
Does it make you smile to receive some cute happy mail and find a motivational book or gift inside?
Think about what your upline does for you and make it your mission to pay it forward and do the same for your growing direct sales team.
As you stay connected with your direct sales team in your Facebook Group and on Zoom calls, think of helpful monthly challenges that teammates can participate in. As your teammates work hard throughout the month and reach the goals they have set, be sure to recognize and celebrate their achievements! Whether it be some great direct sales training or a special gift, be sure to take the time each month to give everyone on your team a special shoutout.
