You might be wondering how Pinterest fits in with your online direct sales business strategy. Pinterest is one of the most underutilized social media platforms for direct sellers. A solid profile, strategic Pinterest boards, and a pinning schedule can really boost your direct sales business. Direct sales Pinterest group boards are a key piece to using Pinterest effectively for your business. Let’s take a look at what Pinterest group boards are and why you need to be a part of them to grow your direct sales business!
Pinterest Group Boards
What exactly are group boards on Pinterest? Group boards are boards that many individual pinners can pin to. They are a way for your pins to be put in front of a larger following and over time, consistently contributing and sharing pins from the group boards increased the visibility on your own original Pinterest pins.
Pinterest group boards are great for finding pins from many people that center on a particular topic. For example, there are tons of group boards about blogging, fashion, food, and fitness. Any topic you can imagine will most likely have a group board on Pinterest. So how do you go about finding these boards?
How To Find Group Boards
There are 3 main ways to find group boards. One is by searching PinGroupie. PinGroupie is a Pinterest Group Board Directory and using the filters available, you can find some pretty cool Pinterest group boards to join and see which ones are the most active.
You can also do a search on Pinterest for a group board on any topic. Say for example you were looking for makeup group boards. Type in “makeup group boards” into Pinterest, adjust the filter to only show Boards, and you’ll see a list of all the group boards.
Another way to find group boards is by stalking, er I mean following your favorite Pinners and seeing which group boards they belong to. How do you know which boards are group ones? Images like this mean it is a group board that multiple pinners contribute to.
How To Join Group Boards
This is a key question. HOW do you join a group board? Most owners of group boards clearly state in the description how to join. Sometimes that means commenting on one of their pins within the group board, sending them a private message on Pinterest, or emailing them directly.
If you do not hear back right away, don’t get discouraged. Keep a list of group boards you are trying to join and after a few weeks have passed, if you haven’t heard, try and contact them again. Persistence is key and the more group boards you can join, the better. Your original pins will be visible to more and more followers as your group board collaboration goes up.
