What To Send To Your Direct Sales Email Subscribers
Awhile back, I came across a tidbit of information that was one of the turning points in my direct sales business.
Grow your email list and you will grow your business.
But, how do email subscribers factor into direct sales?
Think about this for one second. Many of us are running our direct sales business primarily (or in my case 100%) online. Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and all the social media platforms that connect us to our community, our followers, and our customers.
But, what if those platforms were to change in some way?
What if you are experiencing a slow down in engagement from your Facebook group?
What would happen if they disappeared altogether?
What if there was a way to connect with your community and have that connection be 100% yours?
This is where email marketing comes in.
Subscriber lists are all yours. That in itself is powerful. Focusing on building up a trusted subscriber list can be one of the best ways to grow your direct sales business month after month.
The next logical question that follows is, what the heck do I write about?
My friends, that is what this post is all about. 6 great ideas of emails to send to your direct sales email subscribers. And I know your mind will be buzzing after you read this list!
Product Specials
Direct sales companies love to release new products and limited-time specials each and every month! It’s hard as a customer to keep up with all of these specials. Your community of subscribers will love to hear it first about new and exciting products.
Send a newsletter as a way to share photos, details, and important ordering dates. Include direct links to your products to make it easy for your subscribers to shop. Include a special offer bonus or discount for those who order.
Customer Love & Shoutouts
One of the best ways to engage your community is by showcasing a few via a newsletter. Seek permission first and get your subscribers involved!
Maybe one of your customers purchases your products to include in a special package for cancer patients. Or a member of your community uses your product in a unique way. By doing this, you will connect with your community on a truly personal level.
Ordering Details
When it comes to replicated sites or inventory based direct sales companies, the ordering process is sometimes not as clear-cut as we would like it to be. A helpful email breaking down the best steps for ordering can be immensely helpful.
List out each individual step and include the direct links and any options or information the customer may need. Breaking it down for your subscribers will result in an easier ordering process and an increase in sales.
How-To Videos
Sometimes, direct sales products have a little bit of a learning curve.
For example, Origami Owl Essential Oil Jewelry has defined steps on how to use the necklace and mood discs. Having a video of how to add essential oil to a locket is something I personally send along to my customers.
Which product of yours would you be able to make a video for? Create a list, make short how-to- videos, and include them in a helpful email to your subscribers. This is a great way to add value to your product.

FAQ
I bet if I challenged you to write down a list of questions you get from your community and customers you could easily come up with 10 FAQ’s.
Am I right?
Turn those questions into a FAQ email to your subscribers! Think of how helpful this will be and it will be a list you can always refer to in the future.
You can also use this list as a starting point to your future direct sales blog! Write the answers to the questions you receive most. It’s that simple!
Holiday / Seasonal Roundups
You know those emails you get from your favorite stores that send you the trending gifts or top seasonal items you have to have? Go with that same idea and recreate it for your own direct sales products.
Everyone loves a list or roundup of the best of the best in one quick email. Always include direct links to the product for easy ordering and you’ll find yourself wondering why you haven’t thought about email marketing before.
With anything, it’s important to know what your policies and procedures are when it comes to your direct sales company. Be sure to read up on what you can and can’t do before you begin emailing your community.
I know after reading these suggestions you’ll have a list of at least 12 newsletters you could send out to your subscribers. Send an email out once a month and you have a whole year worth of content done! Need more ideas on what to write and blog about? Follow me here!
