Grow Your Direct Sales Blog Subscribers
Where are my direct sales bloggers at?
I see you raising your hand!
Now, let’s chat a little bit about your blog subscribers. How are your numbers looking? Meh?
Okay. I’m here to help you grow your direct sales blog subscribers and give you control over your community.
But first, let’s learn a little about WHY you want your reader’s subscribers to your direct sales blog.
When it comes to social media, we really don’t own much of anything.
We can have a gazillion members in our Facebook group but at the end of the day, Facebook owns our member list, the group, and all of the content inside the group.
Same with Instagram and Pinterest. And don’t even get me started on algorithms, amiright?!
Your direct sales blog subscribers are all yours. YOU control this list. You OWN your email list. This in and of itself is one of the best reasons to focus on growing your direct sales blog subscribers.
Your subscribers are also your tribe. They are apart of your blogging community and they are the readers who look forward to hearing your wisdom, your insight, and your recommendations.
Email is also one of the easiest and fastest ways to tap into your direct sales blog community. (Take that Facebook algorithms!)
Have I convinced you that now is the time to focus on growing your list?
Good.
Utilizing these 6 strategies will get that list growing in no time.
Clear Opt-In Form
One of the fastest ways to start growing your subscriber list is to have a clear opt-in form somewhere on your website.
You might choose to put this at the top of your website, in the footer, or any of your sidebars. Wherever you like it, make sure it is clear and easy for someone to see when they land on your website or blog post.
I personally use Mailchimp to house all of my blog subscribers. They have helpful tutorials to walk you through how to set up the subscriber opt-in process.
Value In The Freebie
Having a great ‘freebie’ for your subscribers when they sign up will increase your blog subscriber numbers.
Readers don’t want to hand over their email address without receiving something of value in return. Check out these opt-in freebie ideas an get inspired!

Once you have created your opt-in freebie, use your email marketing site to have this freebie sent to your reader automatically after signing up.
CTA Within Posts
Now that you have a-rockin’ opt-in freebie set up for your subscribers, you’ll want to funnel your readers to that valuable item whenever possible.
Include direct links and a Call To Action within your blog posts. End your blog posts instructing your readers to “click here” to receive your amazing freebie.
Consistently mentioning what your direct sales blog subscribers will receive after signing up will inherently grow your subscriber list.
Exit Intent Pop Up
I don’t know about you, but I quickly navigate away from websites that have a window pop up immediately after I visit them.
This is why I use a plug in that offers an exit-intent pop up.
An exit intent pop up only shows when the reader is beginning to navigate their mouse towards the “x” to click away from your website.
Genius right?
Pop Up Ally is the best WordPress Plugin to achieve the exit-intent pop-up.
Super easy to set up, customize and you decide how and when the pop-up box will appear for your readers.
Having this gentle reminder to your reader as they begin to click away from your site will definitely help to increase your subscriber numbers.
Magic Action Box
Like MailChimp and Pop Up Ally, Magic Action Box is another clever WordPress tool that you can use to grow your direct sales blog subscribers.
I use Magic Action Box for many things on my blog. I use it to recommend courses, products, and my direct sales opt-in freebie.
Like Pop Up Ally, it is easy to set up and customize so that it fits in with the aesthetic of your blog. You can choose to have it at the top of each and every blog post or at the bottom.
Simply put, Magic Action Box allows you to create opt-in forms and boxes to appear anywhere on your site and within your posts.
Social Share Plugin
Your blog traffic will be one of the biggest drivers of your blog subscribers. More traffic, more subscribers!
Having your blog posts easily shared by your readers will increase your social media reach and put your blog subscriber list growth on autopilot.
I’ve mentioned before that Social Warfare is the best way to set up your blog social sharing features.
Like all of the tools mentioned above, Social Warfare is completely customizable so that it fits in with your own personal direct sales blog branding.
As your blog posts get shared, Social Warfare keeps track of the social share numbers and displays them for your readers to see. Create “hidden pins” for your readers and always have the right sized Facebook image.
Using Social Warfare will not only help to increase your subscriber list, it will boost your blog traffic overall.
