Increase Your Direct Sales Blog Page Views
I’ve been blogging now for just under 2 years. It is one of my absolute FAVORITE things about my business.
Next to working my Origami Owl and Java Momma business, blogging is part of my passive income strategy.
If you are looking to grow your monthly income with your direct sales blog, increasing page views is something you will want to spend time on.
In the last 6 months I have seen my page views increase steadily and reach the 1,000 page views a day milestone.
Think about it.
1K page views….a day!
It’s so thrilling to hit that goal and watch the numbers climb even higher.
For a little perspective, I do want to share one of my favorite quotes:
Everyone Starts At 0
This is important.
Everyone, including me, starts off at the beginning. 0 blog posts, 0 subscribers, 0 followers on Pinterest.
So how exactly did I grow my blog to having over 30K page views a month?
Let’s start with the biggest factor of it all.
Content
Content is king!
The more you write and the more blog posts you publish, the more opportunities that are out there for followers to click and visit your site. Consider this statistic:
It’s true!
Once you write 40+ blog posts, you will experience a bump in traffic.
Not only do the number of blog posts make a difference, the next tip is very important as well.
SEO
If content is king, SEO is definitely the queen.
When you write your blog posts, you want to make sure you are writing them strategically.
Using keywords and answering the questions your ideal client is typing into the Google search bar.
I wrote a little bit about how I land on Google Page 1 in this post HERE.
Make sure you have a plugin like Yoast. This will dramatically increase your chances of your blog post showing up on that prized Google Page 1 spot.
Social Share Buttons
You are writing your blog posts, you are knocking your SEO out of the park, what is the next step?
Making sure your blog posts are EASY to share.
I can’t tell you how many times I go to a blog and think, fantastic! Let me pin this to my Direct Sales Tips Board. Only to find there is no easy way to pin the article to my board!
I love Social Warfare for this reason.
Easy to customize to your branding style and the cost can’t be beat at $29 a year.
Speaking of…..
I cannot stress enough how much Pinterest is an integral part at driving traffic to your direct sales blog. You won’t see an increase in your page view numbers without it.
It’s that important.
Having a cohesive and consistent Pinterest strategy is crucial when it comes to driving consistent traffic to your site.
If you are not sure exactly how that works, be sure to read these posts next and check out the Pinterest training at the very bottom of this page.

You can do this!
Time
This has got to be the HARDEST part about growing your blog presence.
Having patience and realizing it takes a whole heck of a lot of time to increase traffic to your direct sales blog.
I do have a few tips that can speed up the process and really get your page views up even faster.
- Update Old Content: As your blog grows, your writing will improve. Go back to older posts and update the copy.
- Add Backlinks: As you add more posts, go back to older ones to include links to newer posts. Keep building that web!
- Update Graphics: Freshen up graphics and pin those to Pinterest!
- Submit Website to Google (Again): Submit your website again so Google can re-index your ever growing blog.
So my direct sales blogger friends, I’d love to know what light bulb moments you had.
