Can you believe we are headed into another new year?
2019 here we come!
Over the past 2 years this blog has grown, and grown, and grown.
I’m looking forward to growing even more in 2019 and wanted to share the strategies to grow your home based business in 2019.
Social Media Focus
When you run your own business, you can sometimes feel a little bit like a squirrel.
Commenting here, posting there, not really making an impact on any one social media platform.
It’s time to shift your mindset and really focus on the platforms where your idea client hangs out.
That might mean you focus on
- Growing your Instagram presence
- Diving into hashtag strategy so that you increase your reach.
- Learning new Pinterest methods so you are funneling more traffic to your website.
The key is to choose a platform and really master it before you move onto the next.
It pays off to be really great on one or 2 social media platforms compared to being mediocre on all of them.
Direct Sales Social Media Content
Once you have decided which social media platform to focus on, you’ll begin to think about the content to create for that platform.
I’ve written before how to plan out 30 days of content and once you create your own process for yourself, you’ll find it is easily replicated month after month.
Don’t hesitate to utilize websites like Creative Market for scroll-stopping graphics or even Fiverr to have custom graphics created.
Direct Sales Directories
If you really want to grow your home based business in 2019, you need to be a part of online directories. Due to their powerful SEO clout, your content can be found by others searching on Google.
Imagine having new customers finding you each and every week. Or every DAY?
That is powerful.
Sassy Direct is an online directory for direct sellers, home-based business owners, and other soloprenuers. Their unique microblogging platform is what sets them apart from other online directories. My Origami Owl business maintains its level of success purely because of my Sassy Direct membership.
Mommies Hiring Mommies was once a Northern California online group that has now expanded nationally. I mention their group as one of the ways to grow your online business. They have recently added a membership site, job board, and more.
I highly recommend checking both of these sites out as you go into 2019.
Directories will help you get found by others searching on Google time and time again.
Direct Sales Partnerships
As you look to expand your network and grow in 2019, focusing on partnerships is a great way to tap into someone else’s community.
Think about it like this.
You offer a unique product or service that serves your community well. You also know another entrepreneur who has a complimentary product or service that your community would love to be introduced to.
When you collaborate with others and get in front of a new community of people, both of you will benefit.
A total win-win situation!
